General Position Requirements and Information
Projects: MTB expertly manages mine, mill, concentrator, refinery, environmental remediation, brownfield redevelopment, and industrial/commercial facility projects. Work may begin with conceptual studies and proceed through engineering/design and construction, all the way through to commissioning.
Job Locations: MTB projects are frequently located in remote sites in the western hemisphere, often outside the United States. Applicants must be able and willing to travel. Successful applicants will be based at MTB’s Denver Tech Center office. However, some work will be performed at domestic U.S. and international project sites. Some work may also be performed at the offices of clients and/or engineering firms. The ability to speak a foreign language, particularly Spanish, is helpful.

Available Positions
Construction Field Personnel
Responsibilities: The Construction Manager, Field Engineer, and Supervisor will be responsible for construction planning, bid package preparation, including prequalifying contractors, and interviewing potential employees for field operations. They will be responsible for construction supervision, contract administration, material controls and project controls. As a member of the project team, it will be necessary to coordinate directly with the owner, as required by the MTB Project Manager.
Qualifications: Applicants must be fluent in the Spanish language and be willing to travel/relocate abroad for this temporary assignment. A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant project work is required and prior experience with mining projects is highly desirable. Applicants should be proficient with the normal suite of Microsoft Office® software, as well as Access database software. A working knowledge of Primavera Project Planner® and Expedition® or similar project software, is also expected. Field experience and supervisory experience will be considered pluses.
Location: The primary location will be in Peru but may include other international as well as domestic assignments.

Construction Manager

A minimum of 15 years of relevant project work is required and prior experience with mining projects is highly desirable. Applicants should be proficient with the normal suite of Microsoft Office® software, as well as Access database software. A working knowledge of Primavera Project Planner® and Expedition® or similar project software, is also expected. Field experience and supervisory experience will be considered pluses.
Location: The primary location for the project will be Kellogg, Idaho. Time will be required in the MTB corporate office located in Greenwood Village, Colorado, prior to the construction phase.

Contracts Manager
Responsibilities: The contracts manager will be responsible for maintaining all contractual documents including contracts, change requests, change notices, and change orders. All contractor invoices will be reviewed for concurrence, including confirming payments are within the contract scope and cumulatively are less than the contract value. The Expedition® database will be maintained with all contract documentation logged.
All commitments originating in the field will be approved by the owner on MTB submitted authorization forms. The Contracts Manager will work closely with the Project Controls Analyst/Engineer to ensure all cost and schedule trends are recognized and reported. Contract changes will be negotiated for both cost and schedule changes.
Qualifications: Applicants should have at least a bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field. A minimum of 7 years of relevant project work is required and prior experience with mining projects is highly desirable. Applicants should be proficient with the normal suite of Microsoft Office® software. A working knowledge of Primavera Project Planner® and Expedition® or similar project software, is desirable.
Location: The home base for the successful applicant will be in MTB’s Greenwood Village, Colorado office in the Denver Tech Center. However, international and domestic travel to client and consultant offices as well as project sites will be required.

Senior Project Manager
Responsibilities: The Project Manager will be responsible for all project phases from project scoping documents to commissioning of plants. This manager will be responsible for coordinating consultants, contractors, and managing MTB’s project team in performing work in accordance with the project plan. Supervision of staff and review of their work products against project criteria and procedures will be an important duty. An ability to write reports will be necessary. As manager of the project team, it will be necessary to coordinate and interface directly with the owner, as required.
Qualifications: Applicants should have at least a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field. A minimum of 15 years of relevant work is required and prior experience with mining, process, and construction projects is required. Applicants should be proficient with the normal suite of Microsoft Office® software. A working knowledge of the Primavera® suite of products or similar management software is also expected. Field and supervisory experience are necessary.
